We have a NZ new 2012 Suzuki Swift GLXA automatic 1.4.
The car seems to have an intermittent fault where it hesitates, and won't drive off (in drive), from a stationary position eg. traffic light stop. It does it most frequently when driven slowly in traffic rather than at open road speeds. Just had it serviced, and the air flow meter replaced due to fault.
This has not solved the problem, however have noticed that while driving with the a/c ON the problem does not seem to present itself. But once the a/c is turned OFF the problem returned immediately.
This is the only problem we are experiencing, the automatic gear changes smoothly at other times.
Do you have any suggestions of what we should get checked?

Hi there,
The one major link between the A/C on and off is that the idle/load compensating control is active to counter the extra load of the A/C and stop the vehicle stalling out. The idle control/intake manifold system might need cleaning and adjusting so that the idle is higher when the A/C is off and see if this helps. It might need an expert to see if it's a transmission or engine fault in order to help clearer diagnosing.
