My Mazda MPV has finally given up the ghost and I'm wondering if a Honda Elysion is a good replacement?

Apparently Elysion is basically a larger, slightly upgraded version of an Odyssey. I've seen tons of Odysseys around, but not many Elysions so am wondering about the availability of any model specific parts and just how reliable overall this model is.

It's a Japanese import so also has the factory video screen/stereo. I've heard the Odyssey screens sometimes have issues (dead pixels, etc.) and can be expensive to replace. Any ideas about replacing the screen with an Android head unit?

Also is the Elysion cam belt or chain driven. I'm getting conflicting info on Google.

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
As the Elysion is an import, we have no specs or information available on safety ,reliability, parts etc. This vehicle looks to come in both 2.4 K24A (chain drive) and 3.0 v6 J30A (cambelt drive) engines. In general Honda produce very good vehicles and I would think this one no different. A pre purchase inspection is recommended.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I'm looking at the 2.4 i-vtec dohc version. I've also booked an inspection.
