Hi, I have just been told by my garage that the injectors need to be replaced and this is mostly likely because of carbon build up. What causes this? How can I stop it happening?

Some vehicle intake systems are more susceptible to carbon build-up than others, more common in the earlier Mitsubishi and Toyota import GDI engines. It might be best to have the workshop spray a can of intake system cleaner in at every service to try and keep the carbon build up at a minimum.
