I'm looking at buying a BMW 116i - 2013. I have never owned a European car, I was initially looking at a Mazda 3 or CX3.
Would you recommend the BMW? What is the price difference with maintaining a European car & what is the reliability like?

BMW have a good name, I've not heard of any recent reliability issues with this model. European vehicles can cost a little more to service and repair, and depending where you go, the use of factory trained technicians to carryout specialist work.
