i purchased an axela 2009 recently but i had to jump start it get it to run. while i was driving, i had difficulting steering and had the power steering malfunction sign pop up on dashboard. is there a correlation between car battery and power steering? as the fluid for it was max.

The steering could have partial electric assist and relies on full battery power to work correctly. Further investigation may be required if it done not com right after the battery is checked/replaced. .
