ive recently brought a mazda axela but the istop doesnt work. both the battery are low and needs jump starting to work. my question is will getting new batteries allow istop to work again. Also would the battery brand affect the system for e.g mazda battery vs one from repco, etc.

Hi there,
If the battery is faulty the system definitely won't operated as it should, esp if you have to jump start every time you turn the car off.
A special battery is required specific to stop/start systems. It doesn't matter the brand, but the type of battery is crucial. The system should work after battery replacement, as long as there are no other faults.
