I put diesel on a petrol car and just realized in the middle of driving the car back home. Suddenly the car has no power so I decided to pull over at the side of the road. My question is if you bought a brand new car is it covered by the warranty or insurance if you misfuel it?

Vehicle Insurance may cover it, but this would be up to your insurer. It would not be covered under the manufacturers warranty as it is not a manufacturers defect, or premature component failure.
