Recently purchased 2008 VW 1600FSI (Chain belt). Very nice car but it gets the hiccups between 50kph & 60kph. My wife describes it as riding though an earthquake. Very apt. Any ideas please?

I've not heard of this specific issue, but it might be a spark or fuel related misfire, it's best to get it checked to try and prevent something turning more serious.
