Hi we are looking to buy a 200k Vitz for around $2k. The seller had given us the heads up that the car is very sluggish ie very low power when you accelerate when the car first starts up and driving, then once warmed up the responsiveness seems to return. Can you give me some thoughts on what might the issue be and or should I not go ahead

I could be that the oil is very old and thick which is affecting the performance when cold- in both the engine or transmission. A temperature related issue could be a little tricky to locate, but there are a few things that a workshop would need to check.
Just keep in mind that the car has had most of its life and may require on going maintenance for every wof.
