Hi. I am contemplating the purchase of a Honda of the 2005 vintage as stated in the subject line. I have heard there are transmission problems with some of these models. Can you please advise whether this is across the board or more particular to some? Also, what would one expect to pay to replace the transmission in one of these models. Thanks.
Hello, yes these cars can have issue especially 3rd-4th gear flaring it depends on the mileage and how it was treated, the main issue is that the engines in these cars produced a lot of power and the gearbox's may have been worked hard.
not sure of the cost of a replacement box buy you could try this shop,
