I have a Kia Sorento EX diesel 189000 km,it is blowing smoke at random times on start up.Have been told it could be the turbo.Is this common in these vehicles,and is it worth fixing?.

I recommend seeing a diesel turbo specialist with regards to diagnosis and repairs.
The colour of the smoke will also direct to the source, it could just be worn glow plugs.
