I have a 1,350 kg caravan which when loaded up for a 3 week trip can weigh say 1,550 kg.
I have a Hyundai Sante Fe diesel which I tow it with but find the rear suspension a bit bouncy and soft. I have also had an issue with the transmission overheating on a hot day on the Takaka hill. I am thinking of replacing the Sante Fe with a Toyota Fortuna or a Isuzu MUX.
What would be your thoughts on this?

Hi there,
The Fortuna is quite like the Hilux Ute and so would be very good at towing and has a 2800kg of braked towing capacity. The ride is quite firm just like the Hilux. The MUX is not a vehicle we have tested as yet, but it does have a 3,000kg braked tow capacity.
