Hi I want to do a oil change at homeThe guy at the garage reckons mineral oil is the way to go as it would of been services with this previously I was leaning more to a synthetic am I on the right track thanks says

There can be both a Mineral (Castrol Magnatec) or Synthetic (Castrol Edge) option listed for some vehicles, both will do the job and it is up to you if you want to use it or not. On older vehicles it could be considered a bit of an overkill to use the Synthetic, especially if the vehicle hasn't used this oil its whole life.
