Test drove one of these the other day. Lovely car to drive. Heaps of boot space and a good looking wagon. Was a bit nervous about electronic everything though. Even the hand brake is just a button on the dashboard. Push button start etc. Seems like a lot to potentially go wrong. I don't have a big maintenance budget. Are these likely to live up to the famous Toyota reputation of being highly reliable and relatively cheap to fix?

Hi there,
The Avensis of this year should be reliable provided it has been treated well and regularly serviced. Electric everything is something found in most vehicles now days. It can be a bit daunting and sometimes costly to fix if things do go wrong, but they don't have a habit of failing often.
