Hi I had my dashboard (odometer / gear indicator) repaired as not working and required for my WOF. Because of my locality and availability of company to do these repairs, I had to travel 3hrs and leave my vehicle for 24hrs. This was repaired at $280.5 days after repairs these lights stopped working. I have contacted the repairer who has advised me to bring it back in and they will install a chip ($295) and may require further modifications as 2nd hand. Do I have any rights any additional costs I will be charged since the original repairs did not work? Help please

Hi there,
I would imagine there would be some sort of warranty given even for used parts, and if the lights were working on the old one, they could potentially swap parts around without costing too much. Used parts can always be a bit of an unknown and suppliers of used parts don't usually offer much by way of warranty, but five days is a bit short the have it fail.
