We will soon take delivery of a new Renault. Can you do servicing on new Renault or would you recommend the dealer? They are trying to sell us a 3 yr service paln.

Their Warrant recommends Renault servicing but does not appear to expressly forbid others.

Hi there,
For vehicles under warranty it's best to use genuine parts and follow the service schedule set out by the manufacturer, to try and minimise any reason for the manufacturer to try and deny any warranty claim that may arise.
We have a set menu type service system, so for a new vehicle following a manufacturers service schedule, pricing may be a little different. You are welcome to take your schedule to an Autocentre and discuss the servicing requirements and parts availability and see if any assistance can be offered. http://locations.aa.co.nz/aa-auto-centre
