I have limited knowledge on cars and am looking at buying a 06-07 Mazda atenza station wagon, is there any reason to be weary about buying one? Or is there anything I should specifically look out for? I've heard of some problems about rust in them?

my other option would be for a 07-08 Subaru Legacy.

I've not heard of many specific faults with the Atenza, they seem to be a very popular choice. The big thing to check is how well the engine and transmission have been serviced/ treated, as longevity may be affected.
The Legacy is also a great car, not necessarily known for fuel economy but has very good handling. As with any vehicle, we recommend getting an inspection carried out to help make an informed decision about the overall vehicle condition.
