I was thinking of Toyota Vitz, but found that swift is NZ fav, then Tiida, then March. I m looking 2008 to 2012 model with km lower than 80k. Please help me to take decison. I read AA recommendations of staying away from CVT but didn't find any problem with CVT engine of Swift on internet, so little insights please.

Hi there,
The Vitz/ Yaris and Swift are very popular cars with little by way of complaints received about reliability or problems. The Tiida is popular but the CVT transmission is known to receive a few operating complaints. The March is a good city vehicle and has mostly a conventional automatic transmission until 2010 when the CVT was added to all models in the range.

No, for the amount of these cars on the road there doesn't seem to be many transmission related complaints coming through to us.
