Hi, i am looking at buying this car - 84,000 k for around $10 k, mostly around town running to and from work with the bigger trip from time to time - do you think this would be suitable for this use and a fair price? thank you

The km's and price would seem pretty reasonable for a vehicle of this age. There are a lot of these vehicles around and seem to be popular.
They have a CVT (one-speed) transmission of which servicing may be required to keep it reliable. This would be one of the most important components to have professionally checked for correct operation (maybe a transmission specialist) before purchase. They can be very expensive to repair and maintain if things go wrong.
