oil change in manual transmission

Hi i have a 2003 nissan pulsar hatch with a manual gearbox. it has done 170000 kms . is it a good idea to have the oil changed at this point?

It’s definitely not a bad idea as some debris will be suspended in the oil as a result of the constant changing of gears over the past 8 years.

A change of oil could see the transmission life extended. No guarantees but as it should not be an overly expensive job well worth the effort.

Just make sure you use the grade of oil recommended by Nissan.
