Have just purchased a 2006 VW Golf GT as a second car, would like to find out if its belt or chain driven

Hi there,
Without knowing what engine you have, the 1.4TSI engine lists as being chain driven, and I can't see a 2ltrTSI (listed under GT) engine spec option, but the 2.0ltr FSI engine is belt driven.
So the best way to be sure , is to have a workshop look at the engine and see if it is belt or chain. It should only take a minute.
