Hi there. The clutch on my car is wearing, it's done 260,000kms. Even though I intend to keep hold of my car and think its worth getting the clutch replaced properly - cost of between $750-$850, thought I'd get your opinion. Thank you

While it does sound high, they may include a flywheel machine/ surface which can be an extra cost, and the parts would be a few hundred, plus a few hours labour. So it is understandable that a clutch could cost this much for a relatively simple to work on car.
