Hi there - is it normal practice/reasonable to ask mechanics for invoices/verification of costs they are charging for from other agents such as supplier of parts or an auto electric technician? Our invoices usually have one line with everything listed (no pricing) and the cost to be paid.

Outwork is usually listed on an invoice as simply that an no detailed information given. The workshop will be the customer of the 3rd party and you the customer of the workshop, so the detailed account will be addressed/ charged to the workshop.
