I've been given the option of buying an ex-Holden-police car. I was impressed with the vehicle while test driving it. It has just gone over the 150,000k mark (with an indicator that it is due for its service check). What are the ups and downs of buying such a vehicle? and what price would be appropriate?

I would image an ex police vehicle would be similar to buying an ex rental. You know they may have been banged around a bit, but servicing and repairs should have been carried out when required.
