Can you please advise what is the standard oil used at AA repair places for a European car service?

Hi there,
They look to use an ELF 5w-30 engine oil for European vehicles.

Is there any way I can check the oil is 5w30? Since my service my car is very
sluggish especially when cold.

Hi there,
The oil would need to be sampled and sent to a specialist for analysing. Not something commonly done, and could cost a bit, if you can find someone to do it.
