Hi I'm looking at buying a toyota Hilux not sure which model to get
for example 1996 ssrx diesel that has around 100km that cost about $13.000 approx
Ive heard these are good around vehicle
or perhaps a 2006 Hilux for over $20,000 which is a lot more money to part with same sort of milage I'm just wondering with the later model some people have told me that they not as good as the older model more things to go wrong.

Those Toyotas certainly have held their value well over the years,

To be honest a 1996 vehicle is getting quite old, my recommendation would be to spend the extra on a latter model Hilux, I have seen older Toyota Hilux's doing some pretty high mileage but, Eventually they can become rusty.
