Hi there I have a 2000 Caldina G (1998cc 4WD) and want to know a couple of things: is the engine interference or non-interference and is it a timing belt or a chain? Trying to figure out when I need to change it!

Hello I believe if it has a 3S-FE engine it will have a timing belt and is an interference engine. In the event of a timing belt failure is would likely cause valve to piston damage
I would contact your local AA Auto service and repair for a quote.

Recommended replacement will be every 100,000kms or 5 years
