Hi there
I have a Toyota Caldina 2000 1998cc 4WD car. I was wondering if it has an interference or non-interference engine and also if it has a belt or chain?
Trying to figure out if I need to change the belt!

Hello I believe if it has a 3S-FE engine it will have a timing belt and is an interference engine. In the event of a timing belt failure is would likely cause valve to piston damage
I would contact your local AA Auto service and repair for a quote.

Recommended replacement will be every 100,000kms or 5 years
