Hi,

I have a CX-7 07 jap import, 155k, problem: I was stopped at a roundabout, went to take off and my seatbelt tightens, car makes beeping sounds, and it felt like the brakes jammed as well, all for 5 secs or less. Scared the daylights out of me. Lucky it was only myself in the car and no oncoming traffic.
Ideas?

Hello the Mazda CX7 may be equipped with an emergency braking system it may have detected an imminent collision or it could have malfunctioned, if the problem persisted you should take it to the dealer for a diagnostic scan.
