I'm looking for Ford Fiesta around 2005-2007. Is the cam belt likely to be an issue?
Am also considering 2007-2008 Mazda Demio's (new shape) with a timing chain but I believe they are very robust.

I'm not aware of a problem with cam belts, the Fiesta 1.6 according to Autodata information it lists a replacement at 150,000km or 120 months whichever comes first.
As European cars age, some electrical components may start to give trouble, this seems to be a common compliant, and something to keep in mind.
Demios are a good vehicle that don't seem to have any problems to look out for.
