Hi, I am looking at purchasing this and it looks to be in pretty good condition apart from fading paint work (its red which I understand is the worst colour). Is there anything in particular to look out for with these cars and is $3,500 a fair price? Thank you.

The price is not too bad, however these vehicles have a CVT (one-speed) transmission that can have shuddering issues. Most vehicle repairers say it can be remedied with a fluid change (using a good quality oil) and an additive used. Any repairs other than this could be very expensive.
I recommend getting the transmission checked by a specialist and a vehicle pre purchase inspection carried out to ensure the vehicle as a whole is ok.
