Hi, we are looking to purchase a second car. It will mainly be used to commute from West Auckland to Newmarket for work. I'm getting confused about what cars don't have a CVT that we should avoid. We're looking at Suzuki Swifts but what else would you recommend. Is a Toyota Vitz any good (looking at 2008/09 model). Also what's the difference between a Vitz and a Yarris? Thanks

The Toyota Yaris refers to the NZ new model, while the Japanese imports model is referred to as the Vitz. They are popular little cars.
Vehicles with CVT's under 2010 to avoid would be some Nissans and Honda's.
Others to look into could be, Toyota Corolla Runx, or Alex, Mazda Demio/2 or Mazda Axella/3.
