Hi I am planning to buy a Mazda Demio 2004. Can you please tell me how reliable is your PPCheck? as last time I bought my honda and had it pre-checked at VTNZ and told me it was in good condition but then after almost 2 weeks of purchase, the engine broke down and thankfully was replaced by the private seller. The service did leave a bad impression on me and my family so can you please tell me if your PPcheck is reliable and if the inspection will fully inspect everything and will give us enough knowledge of the car. also if they will explain everything in detail. Also since the Mazda has been fully serviced and just got a new WOF just one week after we test drove the car, does getting a pre-purchase inspection will show any difference? lastly, may i know your thoughts on Mazda Demio 2004? thanks a lot.

Hi there,
We stand by our PPI inspections and believe they are the best way of being able to inform of the vehicle overall condition as best as possible on the day of inspection. More on the inspections can be found here: http://www.aa.co.nz/cars/buy-sell/pre-purchase-vehicle-inspections/
A wof is an inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to be operated on the road, not an indication of the condition of the vehicle. Depending on the service type as to how much gets checked and reported, it could be exclusively and oil and filter only change and nothing else looked at. And so still not really a substitute for a pre purchase inspection.
