Hi Expert
I am looking to buy a Nissan Tiida 2009 or 2010 1500cc Hatchback Model. Can you please recommend which one is better and what are the main differences between both models?
I haven’t bought a Nissan car before but I assume these cars are quite reliable?
Thanks heaps in advance

Hi there,
There doesn't seem to be any noticeable difference between the two years. The second generation started from 2011.
These cars are very popular, but I recommend close inspection and correct servicing of the CVT transmission as they have the potential to cause issues (shuddering). They say an additive can often fix the shuddering, but could be expensive if any more than this is required.

Thanks for your recommendations. I have read your other posts regarding CVT transmission of Nissan Tiida and found out that Tiida is not a good option due to CVT issues.
I know Toyota Allex/Runx are good cars as those are non-cvt and chain driven. But I think Toyota stopped making Allex/Runx after 2006 model. I can see Auris is available in 2007/2008 model. Is Auris a reliable car like Alllex/Runx ? Is that Auris has CVT? Or Any other recommend models in the Toyota cars will be helpful.
Thanks for your help

Hi there,
Yes the Auris does have a CVT, I have not had the same negative feedback on Toyota CVT's so I would assume they give little issue. But I would recommend calling a transmission specialist to confirm. They are closely related to the Corolla.
Maybe even try the Mazda Axela, they are very popular and also give little issue.
