Hi there,

I'm looking at getting a small hatchback around the year 2011 and around $10000 - $12000. Will be buying a manual transmission.
Currently considering:
Ford Fiesta
Toyota Yaris
Honda Fit
Mazda Demio

Reliability and repair costs are the most important for me, followed by road dynamics and ride comfort.
Fuel economy is not a factor here as I don't think there would be much difference between these cars.

Thanks very much!

Hi there,
Mu personal picks in order would be, Demio/ Fit, Yaris then Fiesta.
The Demio/ Mazda 2 are brilliant little cars. As are the Hondas, good on fuel and pretty well specked, lots around. Maybe not so many manuals in any of the vehicles.
Toyota Yaris I don't know a whole lot about, some of the earlier D4 or direct injection engines can be a problem, but should be sorted by now. Fiesta seem to be a bit disappointing, had a few people complaining, mostly about the Auto transmissions/ DSG so if you get a manual most of the problems are gone. I love the styling though out of all the cars.
