I'm looking for a station wagon to buy for under $10,000.00 and unsure what types i should be looking at that are going to be the most reliable. I want a good boot for my builders gear and a dog. What do you recommend?

Hi there,
I recommend looking at a Mazda 6/ Atenza,Toyota Corolla Fielder wagon, Honda Accord Euro.
These seem to be some of the most popular choices I can think of.

Thanks for that. I've been looking in my area and not finding too many Mazda & most of Fielder are 1500 cc which is too light for me. What i have seen and they seem to be all imports but are in my price range in a station wagon: I like the following but would appreciate your advice: Toyota Caldina 1.8 cc ( 2004 - 05) or Avensis 2.0 cc (2004 - 07 ) or Subaru Legacy 2.0 cc(2006) or Subaru Outback 2.5 cc ( 2005) or a Nissan Wingroad 2006 1.8 cc . They all have between 90,000 - 120,0000.00 and about $7000.00 - $8000.00. There is one madza atenza but its 2003 & 154,000 km for that price too. Subaru's would be my least economical but more spec's? All Toyota's are reliable & good for parts etc?

Hi,
I think all those optins are not bad, except I would be wary of the 2.0 ltr Avensis. If the engine is an FSE engine then I would not be too keen on it. As I have heard they can be a bit unreliable. The Subarus are great, esp being AWD, however they are not the most economical.
