i have heard that oil changes at 40000 km on the cvt can increase its life.is this a proven fact or a stab in the dark ? also what would i get selling my 2007 model done 47000 kms thanks

I would say the chances of failure would reduce if you replace the oil every 40k, I would also make sure to use genuine oil. As some faults I have heard letely seem to stem from the use of non-genuine fluids. If in doubt, consult a transmission specialist and see what they recommend.
