Hello,
My Toyota Caldina had an accident and is now beyond repair and hence I am looking for a car.

I am looking for station wagon or a mini SUV. I did some research online and shortlisted few models - Mazada 6/Atenza, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Avensis.

I haven't considered Subaru Legacy Wagon as I read on some of the forums that legacy is thirsty and not very reliable with the age

Could I please have you expert advice about the models I have mentioned above?

My budget is around 13K and I would prefer models from 2007 and onward. Also, lower the odometer, better for me

The Rav4 between these years are great also. The later ones with a cvt transmission seem to be a bit problematic.
I have no problem recommending the Legacy of the same years. Fuel economy with the 2ltr should be similar to a mazda 6 and better than a rav.

I had a look at Mazda Atenza Wagon (2008) yesterday, it has done around 101K , how much importance should I give to odometer reading whilst buying a used car?

I would try for the lowest km car possible. If you calculate 10-14,000 km of travel per year
as an average. Then you will know if the km's are high or not.
