I'm a first time owner of a car and know nothing about cars. I own a 2003 Hyundai Elantra which I bought from a friend. Where can I get a manual for this?
Also the 4 valve caps have been stolen - will this affect the car when I'm driving it?
How often do I check the coolant level and the engine oil level and how do I check their levels? Are there anything else that I need to check on regular intervals under the bonnet?

My best recommendation is to visit your local Hyundai dealer and ask to speak to the Service Manager.
Explain to them that you would like to be shown how to check the required levels etc and in return you would take the vehicle to them for its future scheduled servicing.
They will be able to source an owner's manual for you also.
If they are customer focused I'm sure they will oblige.
The missing valve caps will not affect the cars performance and once again your Hyundai dealer will be able to replace them for you at minimal cost.
If there are no Hyundai dealers in your area go to a AA Licensed repairer if possible.
