I am thinking of purchasing this car for a price of$ 9990. It has 19,370km, 1300 WT-I chain driven engine automatic. Includes service, 6 month MTA Warranty and all on road costs. Given the age of the vehicle realistically what are the potential mechanical and electrical problems. AA Appraisals are available.
This model enjoys a great reputation for reliability, with no real alerts for electrical or mechanical issues. Being very low mileage for a 10 year old car, things to check for would be rubber components including hoses, belts and seals potentially having deteriorated due to age / perishing.
The price is definitely on the high side for a car of this age, although the high price is presumably being asked due to the low mileage.
Thank you for your valued reply. I read that models of this type before 2007 would not have a CVR transmission but an automatic one. Is this correct? I would be asking the dealer anyway who is by the way an AA Credited Dealer.
Correct. According to data available to us this vehicle has a 4 speed auto, not a CVT.
I presume you mean this dealer has AA Appraised cars, as there are no AA Accredited (Credited?) dealers?
Thank you very much for your comments.
