Hey, was wondering if you were able to give me some advice on the car I'm looking at buying. It's a NZ New 2002 Mazda 6 (atenza) 2000cc automatic. Is there any particular concerns with this model, I couldn't seem to find many common problems through a google search, I did find that this is the first year of production of Mazda 6's so though there may be some problems (with most new products). Thanks in advance :).

As you say this car is NZ new I'm assuming this is a Mazda6 and not an Atenza, which was the Japanese import model. The spec differs slightly between the two (with NZ Mazda6 usually having superior safety features/more airbags etc).
From a reliability perspective, this model has a good reputation and is a great driver's car, and as a generalisation, would be highly recommended.
