Hi There, We are looking to buy the Toyota Wish or Honda Stream 2005-2006 should we be looking at a 1.8 or a 2.0 ? we are a family of 4 is the 1.8 powerful enough for a bigger car ? .Also the 2.0l in the Toyota seems to only come in the D4 engine should we stay away from the D4?.

I think your best option in this sector is the 1.8 litre Toyota Wish. It has the Corolla running gear which has a great reputation for reliability and adequate power - although don't expect Ferarri performance!
Perhaps a 2.0litre Stream with the conventional automatic transmission could be worth considering, but not the Honda with CVT transmission.
Toyota's D4 engine and Honda's CVT transmission were their respective weaknesses.
