Dear advisor,

I'm looking at buying a near new car, Japanese make but made in India. Wondering if the quality control is as good as a Japanese made car. Also, one of the cars on sale has no current WOF and registration. So how do I test drive it?

Thanks very much :)

Regards,
Leo

Many traditional brands now have plants in locations where labour costs are low, so a a vast number of cars are now produced in India, Thailand and throughout Asia, Eastern Europe and South America.
Honda produce some of their smaller cars in India, Ford build the Fiesta in Thailand and most utes come from Thailand. Quality control is not a concern and the plants in such countries are generally very modern and the vehicles are built to the same standard globally.
If the car has no WoF or registration, you can't legally test drive it on a public road.
