I heard that the early Honda cars with CVT transmission have had problems, but wasn't sure if 2004 models would be an earlier versions of CVT's?
I am also wondering if there is any Honda Accord 2.0L that are not built with CVT apart from manual trans ones?

The Accord didn't have the CVT transmission, so should be fine, however, there are possibly some import Civics with the CVT.
The main problem with CVTs was with the Honda Jazz/Fit up to the 2009 model.
