Hi I'm also looking for either 2006 - 2008 onwards BMW 3 series or mercedes c class. Both nz new. Which one of the two are the better value car. Are there anything to be aware of mechanically and electrically. Also what will be a reasonable price range

Don't have a specific one in mind what would you model would you
recommend for mercedes and BMW

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is the one I would recommend and for the BMW the M3 is the hero choice. Both are good vehicles and fuel economy won't be great for either but performance won't be a letdown.
