We have been owners of a 1995 Ford GLi SW for about 10 years.

Our family, of 2 adults and 2 children, have enjoyed the size and space when travelling. Careful driving proves this car is reasonably economical, but in today's terms the safety features are lacking.

I have been exploring an upgrade and have been astonished to note that the new Ford XT wagons do not have rear headrests either as standard or as an accessory option - there is no fitting for them!

This may mean we change to a Holden for such features - along with the front/side airbags; traction control and ABS.

It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure the Road User charges are up to date.

The new owner will become responsible however, for any expired RUC charges if this is not sorted out prior to the sale. They will also be liable for a fine which can be up to 3 times the value of the expired kilometres.

In your case, I would suggest the seller either pays the outstanding RUC charges, or you take off the cost of bringing the RUC up to date (approx $720) from the sale price.

If you choose the later do not drive the vehicle until the outstanding RUC is paid.
