Hello,

My partner is planning to buy a brand new 2013 Kia Rio EX auto.
However I thought to ask for your opinion on this particular car first.

Is it something worth getting ? ( considering the engine is 1.4 and auto gearbox is only 4 speed compare to 6 speed overseas models )?

She had new ford Fiesta in mind as well but her tendency is towards the Rio.

A brand new 2014 Kia Rio is a good option and for the budget it is worth considering. The four-speed auto is a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker - the noticeable difference will be the higher fuel economy on the Rio.

The Ford Fiesta is a favourite choice but your partner needs to be satisfied with the purchase and therefore personal preference needs to be considered too.

Not aware of any know issues on the Kia Rio and we do believe it's a good car.

The Volkswagen Polo 1.4L is also a good option to consider.

I suggest you both test drive the other options and have a good think about which car to buy before committing to a purchase.
