I am looking at a 2013 Suzuki Sport 1600cc auto. I am also looking at the Toyota 2013 Prius C 1500cc auto, which is a hybrid. I like both of these cars to drive although the Suzuki seems to have a bit more get up and go. Both have Cruise control which I want. The down side is the back is not big in the Suzuki even when you lay the seats down, and the Toyota's back seat when layed down creates a step so does not lay flat. This is going to be a womans car and I want it to last a long time. Are their any faults or reliability issues with either of these vehicles. I would be grateful for any feedback on these 2 vehicles you can give me. Also if you know of a car in the 1500-1600cc rating that is more reliable than either of these vehicles can you please advise, as I do not want to make a mistake in this purchase.

Our opinion is that you can't go wrong with either of these cars, however, they are both quite different types of car really. As you say, the Swift will have more get up and go, which is because the engine is of a different design to the Prius C hybrid engine, however, the Prius C probably has more room.
One of the things you mentioned that would sway me towards the Swift is that you have said you want to keep this car for a long time. On that basis, as a vehicle gets older I would go for a car with a conventional power train rather than a hybrid.
