Hello, Is there anyway of finding out whether the model of Nissan Tiida is CVT or 4AT transmission. As most dealers dont how to tell from the model or vin plaate.

A Nissan dealer will be able to decode the chassis type from the VIN. Parts Department people are usually the best to decipher the trans type from the VIN.
However, any car dealer should be able to tell by driving the car as a CVT has a completely different feel from a 4 speed Auto, with no noticable gear changes.
Also, the CVT usually has "CVT" written on the transmission dipstick, and the gear shift lever gate is different.
As a generalisation, most Japanese import Tiidas are CVT.
