Hello,
We are family of four (2A+2kids). Initially I thought of buying Mazda Premacy/Toyota Wish. After test driving them, I feel they may be too huge to drive within City.

So I started looking at Nissan Tiida. I like it, however bit worried as I never owned a Nissan before. Any recommendations?

If I want to go with my origianl choice i.e. Premacy vs. Wish - which one is better. How is reputation of Mazda Premacy?

The Nissan Tiida is fine if you can find a NZ New one or import with the traditional automatic transmission. Most of the import models have a CVT transmission which has been known to give trouble.
The Mazda Premacy seems to have a good reputation for reliability. It does have a direct injected engine, which is a system known to give problems in some other brands (such as Toyota's D4 and Mitsubishi's GDI engines), but at this stage, we're not aware of any issues with Mazda's direct injected engine in the Premacy.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. How about Toyota Wish? Which is has a good petrol economy - Mazda or Wish?

ABayliss

It depends a little on exactly which engine and which model. However, taking a 2.0 litre version of both models, the Wish would be the more fuel efficient with a claimed economy of 6.9L/100km compared with the Mazda claim of 8.6L/100km. Also, Mazda recommend 95 octane fuel compared with Toyota's recommendation of 91.
Be mindful that you are unlikely to achieve the claimed economy in real world driving.

Thanks for all your replies. Whats the mileage for Nissan Tiida 2005?

Thanks

The claimed figure is 5.5L/100km. However, I'm surprised at this claim as I think this is way less that what it would be in real world conditions. At a guess, I'd expect around 7L/100km.
